ARMS AND ARMOUR GALLERY

The arms and armour of the Deccan in Medieval and Late medieval periods includes Qutub Shahi's and the erstwhile Hyderabad State. They are mainly war weapons such as battle axes, swords, daggers, jambias, curved swords, shields, helmets, spears, lancers, bows and arrows besides a good number of guns. A rare specimen of a gun used by Tipu Sultan is a special attraction in the collection. The gun has an inscription in golden letters and a symbol of a tiger.
